Safety Note: 
Bekal is safe for swimming. There are lifeguards at the beach. Never be over adventurous and try to stay close to the shore. Dress conservatively.
Where it is: 
Bekal is located in the northern part of Kerala. It is 156 km north of Kozhikode and 60 km south of Mangalore.
Journey Route: 
Bekal is 4 hrs drive from Kozhikode and 1.5 hrs drive from Mangalore. Kasargode is the nearest railhead. Mangalore is the nearest airport.
Tourist Season: 
From November to February

Bekal Beach

Bekal Beach is located in the northern part of Kerala and is another pristine, sandy, palm fringed Kerala beach with unspoilt natural beauty. The whole Bekal Beach is actually located below a fort. Which give the beach an exceptional look. In Bekal the beach and the history meet one another.  The view of the Arabian Sea from the 300 year old fort top is really fantastic. The sound of the splashing waves striking the fort base give the tourist a great thrill and the picturesque view of the white sandy beach below the fort  is really breathtaking.
