Safety Note: 
Mangaluru Beaches are not safe for swimming. If you are a good swimmer than you can go for swimming in Ullal. Because of rocky stretches and undulating shore line having under canals these beaches are dangerous for swimming. There are no lifeguards as well.

It is 7 hrs drive from Bangaluru. Mangaluru is one major rail station on Karvali Coast and it has it's own airport.
